Link-A-Roo, Stink-A-Roo*

As I return from my Christmas holiday in Omaha, I  take the scattershot approach to reading/linking.

All things tsunami:

This is the kind of year-in-review for books I can sink my teeth into. Ed shares & asks for literary discoveries. CAAF at Tingle Alley, always ready to drop a hip-hop reference, wants to know your biggest book disappointments from the year.

CAAF also directs us toward Russell Banks’ On William Gaddis

Your Pal The Rake name drops Gaddis, then leads us to this debunking of The DaVinci Code. (I did not know it was, in fact, bunked, though I had fostered suspicions of bunk.)

Gwenda picks up the gauntlet I threw down and gives us a peek into her world. For the record, I think Gwenda Bond is a pretty kickin’ name and Shaken and Stirred trumps Black Market Kidneys. I’m just sayin.

Scott at Conversational Reading dusted off a William Gass essay from the dumpster on the medium of fiction.

* - I don’t know what this means.
