Recommended Reading: Night by Elie Wiesel

As today marks the 60th anniversary of Soviet troops liberating the camps at Auschwitz, I plan on dusting off my copy of Night by Elie Wiesel — has it been 10 years since my last read? If you haven’t read this book, I urge you to. If you have, now is a good a time as any for a re-read. From the publisher:
A terrifying account of the Nazi death camp horror that turns a young Jewish boy into an agonized witness to the death of his family…the death of his innocence…and the death of his God. Penetrating and powerful, as personal as The Diary Of Anne Frank, Night awakens the shocking memory of evil at its absolute and carries with it the unforgettable message that this horror must never be allowed to happen again.
This books is (physically) light at 128 pages, but its impact has been as deep and lasting as anything I have read.

As usual, you are better off reading elsewhere. This time, Mark at TEV presents his Holocaust fiction & non-fiction recommendations.
