I’m a sucker for music lists to begin with, but when I read of a "socially retarded computer programmer"* the deal was sealed. Not to mention I am still trying to figure if "You smell like baloney!" is a literal or figurative insult? Perhaps the World** Will Never Know. So I present to you The 500 Greatest Songs Ever.
Pitchfork comes up short today in the "list" category, choosing to merely list the top 100 singles of 2000-2004. I thought they would have moved onto listing their all-time top lists list by now. Must. Be. More. Meta. Pitchfork, yee are slipping (unless you’re being ironic??)
* I put on my DeNiro face and say to the computer screen, "You talkin’t to me?!?!?!?"
* By "World" I mean "me", as I assume the pricnipals involved probably know the answer to this one.
