Nothing New But Bears Repeating

The president demands loyalty, and the president gets loyalty. Classified
information gets leaked, that’s part of the game, but it’s the approved
classified information. The unapproved classified information – like the
data that there was never any uranium in Niger, despite the president’s claims
in the State of the Union message – is hunted down like a dog and shot.Revealing that the emperor is one kilt short of a full kit is disloyal,
and disloyalty is punishable by whatever comes to hand. Attack a guy’s wife?
Sure. The so-called senior policy adviser, Karl Rove, spent a lot of time
attempting to discredit Joseph Wilson, who had said something that was
absolutely true, although inconvenient. Maybe the senior policy adviser should
have spent more time on policy. There are some shortfalls in that area.
