M. Ward at Bimbo’s

I can think of few better ways to spend a Saturday evening than seeing M. Ward perform at Bimbo’s. Given the frequency of reminders I receive from the Bimbo’s mailing list, there seems to be some tickets yet available:

Saturday, September 10
M. WARD
The release of M. Ward’s latest album, Transistor Radio, has multiplied the attention and acclaim he has already received. Ward’s stature as a guitar virtuoso and a songwriter continues to grow with each album. His warm yet raspy voice and folksy guitar strumming give him a timeless blues/folk sound that could easily be mistaken for an old 78rpm record. M. Ward is rooted firmly in old-time Americana, yet his style fits perfectly alongside Giant Sand, Grandaddy, and Tom Waits.

* A friend of mine has been saddled with an extra ticket to this show. If you’d like to help her out and buy it, drop me a line, and I’ll put you in touch.
