If you’re like me–which you no doubt are–somewhere along the way you probably threw a few dollars in BMG’s direction, succumbing to the allure of the 8-fer-1 with nothing more to buy ever. Apparently Iran’s president-elect bears a striking resemblance to one of the ringleaders in the 1979 seizure of the American embassy in Tehran. Sure, you may look like Ernest Hemingway, but do you look like Kenny Rogers? Some have blamed the tragedy in the Bayou on New Orleans’s notorious lifestyle tolerance. It may be because I am an eternal optimist, but I came home to see the Saturday night live guests tonight and I got a warm fuzzy feeling: two years ago, the Dixie Chicks were basically driven into obscurity after a comment; today Kanye West is everywhere. True. Let it never be said anger won’t get you anywhere.
