Coachella Prequel

Greetings from Rancho Mirage, CA — where I am setting up camp for this year’s Coachella. To get it the swing of things, I caught Quasi at Cafe Du Nord in SF — very good, especially the “guitar” songs.
Today looks to be more of a warm up for tomorrow’s lineup, but is still strong. Planning to see Lyrics Born, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, TV on the Radio, My Morning Jacket & Cat Power. Also, possible glimpses of Kanye West & Depeche Mode (where Monica may camp out all day to get front row seats).
As for tomorrow, early plans include: The Dears, Mates of State, Ted Leo/Rx, Sleater-Kinney, Digable Planets, Seau Jorge, Coldcut, Massive Attack, Tool, Scissor Sisters.
Of course all of this is Subject To Change, as I am one who … how you say? …. goes with the flow. Early favorite: the toast this morning at IHOP. If my energy & the wireless at the hotel stay up, perhaps I’ll pop back with reports of awesomeness, with scattered sweat.
