Ready for Bush?

I hear Bush is heading for the Big-O to preach to the not-as-unconverted. The topic? Supposedly his Immigration Reform. In unrelated news (a few minutes older in the RSS-Reader) I see that Homeland Security ponied up some big buxx for Omaha after earlier indications they’d get nada. Meanwhile NYC and DC see funding drop. Nobody knows why, calling the Homeland Security logic “quirky”. Maybe Bush is the threat?
BREAKING NEWS FROM THE OMAHA WORLD-HERALD:
Two sites designated for Omaha’s Immigrant amnesty day
Omaha’s first immigrant amnesty day, which provides the opportunity to dispose of immigrants, will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at two sites.
Officer Andrew Passo, a spokesman for the Omaha Police Department, said one site will be at 13th Street and Bob Gibson Boulevard in the parking lot of Rosenblatt Stadium. The other will be at 103rd and Fort Streets in the parking lot of the former Wal-Mart.
The Omaha Fire Department, the Omaha Parks Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives will assist the police.
Passo said the operation would give authorities the opportunity to educate the public on the dangers of immigrants and other explosives.
Anyone with information on the illegal sale or manufacture of such devices is encouraged to contact the ATF Omaha office at (402) 952-2605.
UPDATED: The above article has been “corrected” on the OWH site. An editor informs BMK that they meant to announce a fireworks amnety. Foreigners, meanwhile, possibly still illegal. Stay tuned.
