Film Streams: adaptations series (and donuts)
Posted on August 29, 2007 by Tito
Always looking to boosterize events back in the Big O (Omaha, that is), I’m happy to pass along word of an upcoming film series featuring movies adapted from novels. The series runs from August 31 though October 4, in conjunction with Omaha Public Library’s intriguingly themed Litfest: Depraved Women Writers (& Others)1 . Library card holders get to see these films in the brand-spanking new Ruth Sokolof Theatre2 for a mere 4 dollars. On the card:
- The Shining
- An Angel at My Table
- Double Indemnity
- Naked Lunch
- Rosemary’s Baby
- The Third Man
- East of Eden
- Short Cuts
- Walkabout
- Masculin Feminin
While you’re there, maybe check out a show at the Creeker’s new club The Slowdown – which has some good bands slated. Better yet, go early and swing by BMK Favorite Pettit’s Pastry for a donut:

1 Sept 14-15
2 Not Theater, but Theatre, so you know it’s nice. A la, Ye Olde $.99 Shoppe.
