So Nebraska did not win a single game, the average daily high temps have dropped 30 degrees, and I’m a year older. But October had its moments to be sure.

Best bar to close out my 32nd year by mangling Escape Club’s Wild Wild West: Hope and Anchor
Best bug-eyed CMJ band I’d never heard of before: Maccabees
Best batshit-crazy CMJ band I’d already seen 3 weeks earlier in Texas: o’death
Best chance to argue with a tattooed reformed jew, a portuguese-ukrainian construction worker, an iraqi vet with prosthetic legs, a nurse, and a carribean grandmother: jury duty in Brooklyn
Best TV line ever: “Never go with a hippie to a second location
Best meal where I had no idea what I food I was going to get with my order: Saravannas
Best impulse used CD purchase: Teen Jangler Blowout!
Best surpassed expectations which were low because of Steve Zissou: Darjeeling Ltd.
