The series runs from August 31 though October 4, in conjunction with Omaha Public Library’s intriguingly themed Litfest: Depraved Women Writers (& Others)1 . Library card holders get to see these films in the brand-spanking new Ruth Sokolof Theatre2 for a mere 4 dollars. On the card:

I saw GoGoGo Airheart opening for Ted Leo in September. I think I was in the minority of the crowd that night as I dug them. The Joggers’ singer annoys some people, but I can overlook that for that angular guitar sound I like, plus a solid drum & bass tag team.
